Andrea Trescot, MD is the past president of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), and past pain fellowship director at the University of Florida and the University of Washington. She is the current Chief Medical Officer of Curonix (a wireless spinal cord and peripheral stimulation company), and the current Chief Medical Officer of Beaches Recovery, as well as a practicing physician with Orles Pain and Regenerative Medicine in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Trescot has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters, and she is the editor and senior author of a 900-page pain textbook (Peripheral Nerve Entrapments – Clinical Diagnosis and Management) as well as Peripheral Nerve Stimulation. She is also co-author of PainWise – A Patient’s Guide to Pain Management, as well as co-editor of the three-volume pain review textbook Pain Medicine & Interventional Pain Management – A Comprehensive Review and the recent Interventional Pain – A Step-by-Step Guide for the FIPP Exam. Her most recent book (Interventional Management of Headache Pain) is in press. She is board-certified in anesthesiology, critical care, pain management, interventional pain management, and addictionology. She speaks nationally and internationally on multiple topics of pain medicine, interventional pain management, and addiction, and she is passionate about pain medicine education.
